Shy Poets is a creative wellbeing experience that blends four different modes of expression into one session. It's designed for people who might not think of themselves as "creative" — and for those who do but want a different kind of space.
The idea is simple: use breathwork to settle in and open up, then let words, paint and movement flow naturally. No pressure, no judgment, no experience needed.
You don't need to be a poet, dancer or artist to take part. This is about expression, not performance. Come as you are.
All creative materials (paper, paint, etc.) are provided.
The movement part of Shy Poets draws from dance styles Rosa works with. You don't need to know any of them — this isn't a dance class. It's about moving how you naturally move.
Rhythm, energy, connection. The foundation of partner social dance in Latin communities.
Flowing, wave-like movement. A dance that emphasises body movement and musical interpretation.
Haitian partner dance. Grounded, connected, warm — about feeling the music with someone.
Stretch Therapist, Personal Trainer, movement facilitator and founder of inyo fit. Works across dance, breathwork and creative wellbeing with individuals, groups and organisations.
"Shy Poets started because I noticed something — people who'd never write a poem in public, never paint, never dance freely, were doing all three when given the right space and the right breathwork first."
"It's not about being good at any of it. It's about letting yourself do it. That's where the wellbeing part lives."
